This is the contemporary painter Jane Filer. I found her work for the first time this week...and I keep visiting her site HERE. I am absolutely in love with each of her magical brushstrokes.
She has an Artist retreat in March in North Carolina and I am asking the Universe now for the gift of me to go! (please!!)

Emerald Isle is a long ways from Charlotte, but if you fly into Charlotte and need a place to stay on your way, I'm happy to put you up.
I love 'discovering' new artists. She is the bomb! Holy cow her stuff is awesome. When I look at her pieces i get little glimpses of "soul". I really like the Owls Over Angier. Those rich colors just pop off the canvas.
