Creative Juicy at its Finest

Posted by Connie at 5:00 AM

Vincent Van Gogh is one of my all time, absolute favorite painters!!

His work is absolutely juicy, juicy, juicy!!

And everything he paints is emotional, moody, revealing, spiritual.

Who is one of your favorite painters?

Peace & Love.

(All of Van Gogh's images were borrowed from HERE.)

I love Mondrian for the deceptive simplicity of his works: the clean lines, the primary colours, the grid structure and the exact, precise placement of each element.

Matisse, Chagall. I love their whimsy, their colors. Their work makes me happy.

Definitely Willard Leroy Metcalf! His Paris paintings make me just want to dream myself right into them. Beautiful! Juicy!!
I was lucky enough to see some of the originals up close at a Chicago museum years ago.

Georgia O'Keefe is my idol, not just for her floral paintings but for her lifestyle too!

Van Gogh is my favourite too. I love his use of colour and the movement he creates in the paint.

I'm a Van Gogh fan also, but my favorite is Matisse. I just love his use of pattern and color!

My hubbie, Tom, LOVES Van Gogh, too. He sketched "Vincent's Bedroom in Arles" when he was in grad school for architecture. And,then, his groom's cake at our wedding was this painting! I like Van Gogh and Matisse. I also love the idea of art and creativity as a practice!

Hola Connie,

You inspired my digital hair painting with all these color layered up lines.

And my favorite painter today is Louise Bourgeois. I like her clunky long spidery lines.

And I really love her woman house

She's more of a sculptor that makes drawings with paint.

So moving onto PAINTERS.....
It's a big ole' coin toss ....

Always makes me cry at the MOMA.....
Piet Modrian http://wwwit.wordpress.com/2007/02/03/piet-modrian/

And I've got a crush on Ellsworth Kelly

Here's some generous audaciousness
Arthor Dove

Oh, he's funny. Rodney Greenblat

So So foxy, smooth and scratchy, Caio Fonseca

My mother is still the best artist I have ever seen, although none of her work is on the web, every canvas she touches turns to complete realism without much effort.
