Honoring Death

This week's Art Journal LOVE is in honor of Day of the Dead which is on November 1st and 2nd. Let me just say that this video was a great work of love for me. I poured myself into this. And--it was so great to collaborate with Hansel.

I hope it moves you to honor the parts of yourself that are endless...timeless...full.

Peace & Love.

"Hay más tiempo que vida" is a quote I will keep because it expresses what I´ve been thinking lately.
There have been a couple of deaths in our circle this past month and it is so strange to see life going on without those beautiful beloved persons.
On the other side of the spectrum there have been a couple of births. Looking forward to share those lives. :)

This was fabulous Connie. Left a comment on FB too -- I am in awe of your patience as you let your beloved artist create on the canvas of your face...which you mirrored so beautifully in your journal. Always inspiring!

Inspiring! Yes, the music really helped convey the tone of the meaning behind the video. Love how you incorporated yourself as a "live" character from the pages of your journal. Memorable

What a mysteriously creative collaboration with Hansel! It was fascinating to see your Day of the Dead character come to life. And I love the music, too! All of the elements come together in such a refreshing way. Thank you, Ms. Connie Chica, for sharing your ever expanding creative juiciness with us!

I'd say more, but I'm a little busy trying to stop crying.

This touched me so deeply. Thank you, Connie, and thank you, Hansel.
