I need your help with something....I know this is a little strange request....but, I gotta question for you...and would appreciate you leaving an answer in the comment space...
When you are visiting Dirty Footprints Studio, does a little box ever pop up and ask you if you want to abort a script that is slowing things down? I think it has to do with the slideshow in the banner above. But the funky thing is that sometimes this happens...and sometimes it doesn't. I was wondering if it is just me--my computer--or some silly gremlin playing games with me!
What is your experience?
I told the cool chica that created this blog design for me...and she's stumped...because it doesn't happen to her ever.
Welcome to the Twilight Zone.
Thanks for your help!! Hope you're having a beautiful Sunday!
Big hugs!

I've had this problem on other sites, but not this one. However, I noticed the problem started when Firefox released its latest series of, ahem, "upgrades." Do you use Firefox? I've been threatening to break up with FF since Feb. because of its weirdness since they started "improving" it about a year ago, but I'm afraid I'll lose all my bookmarks.
I'm not an IT pro (that's my darling hubby's job), but my problems started with the FF updates. Good luck!
Thanks Linnea!
No...I use Safarii. The strange thing is that it happens only sometimes.
I'm so stumped.
(I like that word today!! "Stumped!")
Hi Connie...
I'm running the latest version of Google's Chrome browser & have never gotten an error message. I usually read your blog posts in Google Reader but everything was okay on my end when I opened your site directly in my browser also.
Poo...I thought I just commented, but I think I might not have. Oops!
OK, anyway, I have had that happen with other sites, but not this one. I am using Firefox 3.6.3.
Good luck with the issue! :)
I get this sometimes, but I get it when I have more than ... umm.. a dozen windows open, so I don't know if it's your site or not. Even when I tell it to abort the script it never seems to cause an issue and continues to play the script.
I also get this with explorer when I'm at work on occasion when I'm on my break.
Nope. Never. I use Safari on my Macs and Firefox on the PC I sometimes use.
xo,
Carmen
I have not had a problem at your site or any others. I use Safari.
nope, never had this problem. but i use a mac... maybe that makes a difference?
Good luck!! :)
I have never have that happen to me , so its all good in my end . : P
never had this prob before but will let u know if i do :) hugs!!
I only get it when I use firefox. I don't get it in IE or Crazy Browzer. So it's THEMMMMMMM. Some java scripty thing that says it's not loading properly. When I followed it they wanted me to upgrade some active x thingie. I didn't.
Hmmm, no this never happens when I'm over here. I use Safari for Mac.
I access this site on both Firefox and Google Chrome. No problems. I suggest that perhaps its the browser you're using?
I use Firefox and it happens 2 out of 3 times when I visit and I have to stop the script from running or Firefox will freeze up/
Hey lovely, I use firefox and it happens to me with your site sometimes... Not sure why sometimes yes and sometimes no.
Alright....I use a Mac...and it happens sometimes...and it either doesn't happen to you Lovelies...or it does....so, I'm just going to consider it an enigma and call it a day!!
Thanks for the help ladies!!
I've never had that message.
I just came back here and it happened! It is something to do with the slideshow. When it happened, the little progress bar thing said "transferring from slideroll" and when I stopped the script, it stopped the slideshow.
Yup! I've had this problem a few times when visiting...I'm using a PC, Internet Explorer 8, and countless times have many windows/tabs open.
(But don't worry...I'd keep coming back if the entire site crashed completely on me every time.)
Hope that helps!
Maybe it's firefox, that has been weird lately. I have not noticed this and have been using Safari more lately. Love the photo of you.....
Corrine
Never, nowhere. Using Chrome on a PC.
Yes chica...it does happen when I come here.
Never before until today... it happened this time, for the first time. I don't use Firefox or any other bigtime browser.... it's just me and my Safari mac....
I've had that before, but not sure if it has been here or somewhere else.
OS Windows Vista Explorer v? is the laptop it has happened on
OS Windows 7, Explorer v8 -it has not happened with this PC at all, anywhere
and one more laptop with OS Windows XP Explorer v? - I don't think it has happened on that one either
so maybe its Vista; I didn't read all the comments so maybe I'm wrong
hey it could happen.
