That's me chillin' out as hall monitor...as the kiddos take their standardized tests.
It is always easier to be happy
--then to let yourself fall into the clench of stress and sorrow.
It is easier to think things are going your way
--then to worry that they may fall apart.
It is easier to smile and laugh to yourself
--then it is to join in the status quo and be miserable.

look at cute you, hangin in the hall.
i agree, happiness is our natural state. somehow we unlearn that along the way, but we can remember it back into a normal way of being if we make it a priority. i think that's why a Gratitude Journal always changes my outlook if i fell lost in the yuck. Writing 3 (or 5) things down each night i am thankful for that day really does steer me back & help me focus on the good.
thanks connie. you always make my day!
ps: did you do any cartwheels in the hall?! :)
damn, girl...that's some pretty good hallway wisdom! i'm going to put these words to good use. ;)
No words have any rang more true to me today than these... I agree with Leel, I don't know how I ever lived without my gratitude journal. I've been at it for 2 months now and it makes a bigger difference than how it sounds.
Great post
