Work is seriously kicking my butt.
The end of the school year is rough.
Everyone's done.
Fried.
Burned out.
Bonkers.
I have to remind myself to take extra good care of myself during times like this.
Do the neti pot.
Drink smoothies.
Sip echinacea tea.
Take a hot bath.
Yoga! Yoga! Yoga--even if it means laying in child's pose for ten minutes.
Breathe.
But....I just wanted to share a little something with you.
This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week....
Please, if you have children of your own--please give a little extra LOVE to your child's teacher.
Here are some suggestions....
chocolate
chocolate
chocolate.
(And don't forget the Art Teacher!!)

We've always taken peonies from our garden ... and they've always been a big hit.
Good point about not forgetting special area teachers. Since my son has an LD, his EC case managers have always gone above and beyond for their kids. I was surprised how often they're overlooked during these recognition weeks. I always get them something extra-special to go with their flower. (A couple of teachers in A's grade have nut allergies, so the teachers as a group asked us not to get chocolate as a precaution.) :)
If you were Ashlyn's art teacher she'd appreciate you up to the heavens! Actually, in a way you are; hers (by orders from higher up) is much less spontaneous. You really inspire her. So, happy Teacher Appreciation Week, lovely! Take care of you. Just three more weeks.
I appreciate you to the moon and back. and it is because i appreciate you so much that i wont give you chocolate, cos you said no sugar cos you feeeeeeeel wayyyyyy better with no sugar.
so instead i would take you out for a yummy delicious something and a steamy warm sip of something and i would make you smile and i would offer my ear and/or shoulder for you to pour out whatever needs to get out from your head or your heart. cos i appreciate you.

I REALLY appreciate my Art Journal Love teacher! LOVE HER!!! :-) You may be exhausted but you have a rockin' haircut so at least you look awesome while being exhausted. I hope you can get out of there soon. Surely you don't have much time left? Hugs and positive juju coming your way.
It's almost over ;)

I completely relate....I am a teacher as well...highschool and this time of year is so rough on us all!! Hang in there!
I'm right there with you, Connie! I think in general teachers are more excited about summer break than the kis are!

Hang in there! You will make it ... just one breath at a time! :)
Sending you love and light, energetic thoughts ...
I don't mean to bombard you, but wanted to let you know I had to HAD TO include you on my list of blog places that bring me happiness :) Grab a Happiness 101 badge and know this: you are truly loved and appreciated. It's not chocolate, but a virtual slice of cake? MWAH!
