Cerulean Blue Daydreams

So for the last couple weeks I've been eating my breakfast on our little patio--staring out at the beautiful blue morning sky--and pretending that I'm in Italy.

Yep, I am a dork. A big dork.

But you see--this is where it all begins. Right here in my overactive imagination.

Long, long time ago I came to Arizona to visit a dear friend that was living in Tucson. At the time I was living in Cleveland. We had such an amazing time!! Two young girls, a few bottles of wine, and a total Thelma & Louise roadtrip across the beautiful state of AZ. It was fun!! It was exciting!! And our car even broke down on the side of the highway--which made it even more an adventure.

But I left back for Cleveland a week later daydreaming of the day that I would be living too in that desert. And now I've been here for four years.

My daydreams always become my reality. If I stick with them long enough--and use them as direction for my action.

For example, I used to daydream of not having to go to a job and actually picking up a paintbrush instead.

Uh, hello current Life!!

So I might be la' Dork Extraordinaire...but you watch...this time next year--I'll be looking at the cerulean blue skies of Florence telling you about my next adventure on the daydreaming circuit.

I love how you said that. It's dreaming + patience + action that really does the trick!

Can't wait for your reports from Italy! :)

If dreaming of Italy makes you a dork, then I'm a Uber-Dork!

You better keep dreaming of it and make it happen. I'm already talking with Chris about how we are going to make it over there and it would be awfully lonely if you weren't there to greet us. :)

Love this post!!! Same goes for me....one of my now best friends says she remembers when we first got to know each other, and I said, "I'm gonna do this...and it's gonna be like that....and then I'm doing this...." And it happened! Some people are put off by creative people being so sure of themselves....but that's how it works. It all comes down to intention.

I know you will...I definitely know you will. (And you'll be living in Costa Rica, too!) Me? I'll be busy painting on our patio, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Yep...life is good for us daydreamers, huh?
Love you!
Peace & Love,
~Barb~

You are so not a dork! You are truly magical! :-)

Paula, who dreamed of Phoenix too, while in cold, snowy Michigan, and has now been here almost 19 years, and who now dreams of San Diego, or just about anywhere I can be near a beach and WATER! lol

oh Connie, Florence is such a good souvenir to me ! You'll love being there ! Daydream, daydream along ! I've never cross the ocean to America
(I'm in France) but someday I will.
Florence is hot in summer, I prefer going to Italy in April or Oktober, it's milder. You know what I' m daydreaming about ? Meeting you in Florence ! But be sure the right time I go to America I try to find the DFS !

i dreamed of life overseas for years and years until one magical day it happened. i am in italy (5 yrs) now and each day i still pinch myself to be sure it's real. of course, i can balance the bliss with reality that is sometimes a challenge to deal with but overall - i wouldn't trade it for the world! dream big, connie, dream big. :)

I also daydream my way into reality! Wait 'till you see what I'm working on next! :o) Meanwhile, I've always wanted to visit Europe. I was thinking Barcelona or Provence, but Florence sounds awesome, too! Can't wait to get my invite to visit you and Hansel there! Big hugs, much love ...Angelia
