I've totally fallen in LOVE.
His name is Akio Takamori and he is a contemporary Ceramics Artist that lives in Washington.
Yesterday I visited the ASU Ceramics Research Center and they had tons of his work. And well, I'm in LOVE.
Absolutely swooning.
And glossy eyed.
In LOVE.
And I have to admit, it's been awhile since I've fallen this hard for an Artist's work--but Mr. Takamori...
he does it for me.
His ceramic sculptures are fluid, bulbous, BOLD, and just something about them that really draws me in--and well, LOVE them.
Maybe it's because they're like 3-dimensional paintings. And let me tell you--if they weren't kept behind plexiglass, I might have hugged each and every one of them.
That's what happens with me sometimes.
I fall madly, deeply in LOVE
with Art.

They are beautiful - I especially love "Lena's Birth!" he captures the feeling!
These are absolutely beautiful and yes, huggable! Thank you for sharing his work!
Luscious! And I can totally relate to that feeling of falling madly in love with an artist's work. That's what happens with ME sometimes, too :-)
