I am 30 weeks pregnant today.
No matter how much I slather my belly with oils and creams
Those stretch marks are gonna come.
No matter how hard I work to prepare, be ready, have this or that or anything
Life is gonna arrive with it's own unique parade.
All I can do is listen.
Be fully present.
Be here for each morsel of this existence.
And I've decided
(After all these years of talk)
That I'm finally ready to slow down.
So please don't be alarmed--
When I am not around as much.
I've just joined a new procession--
I've left the old brigade.
It's time to find a new rhythm.
Time to embrace a new pace.

This is such an important and amazing time in your life. You will be SO thankful that you realized this before it was too late.
I can swear by the mamma mio belly rub oil! I had big purple stretch marks that disappeared into nothing after a few weeks It is a little expensive but one bottle lasted me the whole pregnancy and beyond and was worth every penny
I used cocobutter--a coconut oil cream. Just keep slathering. ;) You are in for the greatest miracle there is!!
Now THAT is some serious belly looooooove!!
Being pregnant is such a blessing. In my experience it was one of the best times in my life. It's great to hear how you are wrapping yourself in this journey.

Congratulations Connie on your new wee one, and on coming to peace with the new pace starting for you. No matter how much people "warn" you about all of the stuff that will change with the coming of a new baby, no one can prepare you for the totally new paradigm that's coming! It's the most exciting paradigm shift, you will know love like you've never known before :)
Enjoy every tiny moment of the pregnancy, you'll look back and be amazed at how fast it all went!
