Pure LOVE.
I don't know even where to start.
It's been one week since Phoenix was born.
One week filled with ups and downs, laughter, tears, uncertainty, and trust.
One week overflowing with the greatest love I've ever known.
One week of tiny little smiles and dirty diapers.
One week of learning how to breast feed, learning how to sleep with a newborn near by, learning how to be a mother for the very first time.
It's been one week--and it's not as hard as I thought it would be.
Actually I'm surprised how natural it feels.
How I can't remember....(like seriously)...I can't remember life before him.
I barely even remember the labor--even though it was 18 hours long and terribly difficult for the both of us.
It's been one week and each day feels like a renewal of life.
I'm so grateful for this incredible gift I've been granted.This beautiful life I've been entrusted with--to guide, to love, to believe in.
It's been one week.
The first week, of which I'm certain, will be his amazing life.

:) I prepared myself for it to be much harder than it turned out to be. Instead my babes seemed to meet me in the middle and we muddled through perfectly for us. Ups and downs included. He looks like such a beautiful, wise soul. I am so happy for you and Hansel, and sent you all my love and blessings.
It always amazed me how much love and fullness was there in an instant, and how much my old life seemed to just be preparing me for them. That I could barely remember that old life. Much love to you dear one. xx

Kinda funny that life finds us in a similar place right now. I birthed my daughter on April 28, 2012....one day just before you!
