I had three words to guide me for 2013….one of them was PAINT.

Something I didn’t do enough of, I feel.

Well, I take that back.  I did a lot of watercolor painting in my Moleskine.  But that’s a totally different animal than when my brush is loaded with acrylic goodness.

So as I think about what I wish to invite more of in 2014–PAINT is calling to me loud and clear already.

This November is Leah’s infamous Art Every Day Month‘s challenge–and yes, I officially signed up.   I’m not waiting till 2014 to answer the call to dive back into the depths of my painting practice–instead I am using this challenge as fuel to start my engines now!

I want to explore Painting The Feminine.

I purchased a beautiful Fabriano Venezia sketchbook to commemorate this exploration–and I even have my own little hashtag for it on Instagram if you want to take a peek of my daily process (#PaintingTheFeminine).

I’m going to do my best to post my paintings here on Dirty Footprints Studio during the week.  (I like to take an internet fast on the weekends.)

And today I start by sharing the very first spread in my new sketchbook–which also is the first of my Painting The Feminine series.  I call it Divine Mother.

I painted it totally FEARLESS®–and the image that surfaced touched me dearly.  Already I can feel the impact this series is going to have on my life–and I look forward to sharing more of it with you.

If you are new to Dirty Footprints Studio–welcome! welcome!!  My name is Connie Hozvicka and you can learn more about me HERE and see some of my offerings HERE including my free online workshop HERE.

Happy Art Every Day Month everyone!! Let’s get creative together!
