Connie, I grew up going to Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon in the 60's. Way before it was commercialized. It has a very special place in my heart. We camped next to a full-blood Apache Indian with the longest, whitest, most beautiful hair. I guess he could tell I was in a bad way emotionally and he took me under his wing. He taught me about Mother Earth, and about animals, plants, trees, and the Spirit they believed in. I believe he saved my life, at least emotionally. We met them every year at the same camp site for 2 weeks and corresponded for years untilhe died. He was definitely my spirit guide. I still miss him even though it has been a long, long time ago. That is why I want to go on your retreat so much.
