Here is what previous IGNITEEs are saying...
I’ve been teaching for over 20 years and wasn’t really sure what was going to be different, but I knew that I needed to show up to IGNITE and I am delighted that I did. There is nothing formulaic about Connie’s approach....I have been challenged on a very deep level to discover things not only about my teaching practice, but about myself. I can not recommend IGNITE enough. It will transform not only the way that you teach, but the way that you view life, the way that you approach your creative practice, and the way that you put all of those together into a congruent fashion. ~Betsy CaƱas Garmon, WildThymeCreative.com

I absolutely love IGNITE and feel like it is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. It's given me the confidence to start putting myself out there: making and selling my artwork, teaching art classes, collaborating with other artists...it's expanding my world exponentially-just as I’d hoped. ~Kelly Diemond, HaveAllThis.com

I went into IGNITE with this vision of what I might experience. It was a grand and lofty vision, but looking back, it was quite small compared to the incredible journey that IGNITE has been! The growth and the self realization I have gained through this class is so valuable to me. I feel like a completely different person now than when I began but not because I have changed, because I have stripped away the false guards I put up and am becoming who I really am at my deepest level. I'm gaining the confidence and trust in myself to become the teacher I am meant to be. Connie does an amazing job as she guides you through this experience, holds space for your growth, and supports you through the whole process. ~Sara Skowbo, LifeConnectionStudio.com
For me, IGNITE has been about getting down to the very essence of who I am, peeling back those layers, and rediscovering and reacquainting with what my innate natural gifts are in this world... IGNITE has given me the fuel and tools to make my teaching and my creative business visions tangible, do-able, REAL in my life. ~Hali Karla, HaliKarla.com
When I signed up for IGNITE last year, I had no clear understanding of my intention or purpose for doing so. I only knew that I was following an instinct that I couldn't ignore. Having gone through three FEARLESS painting courses with Connie, I knew that whatever the outcome, it would be wonderful. My instinct was right. This course has stripped me down and revealed undeniably what my gift to the creative community, locally and at large, is. Though teaching at its narrowest definition is not on my short term goals, I am discovering how to step fearlessly into this life that teaches by example. The tools I am learning are beneficial on many levels, applicable now and in the future when I may step into a more traditional teaching role. If IGNITE was solely a course, with Connie's training and mentorship, it would be excellent. However, in addition to the projects and lessons, there is the beautiful circle of women who offer so much love and encouragement. IGNITE has truly been a safe haven to explore, to discover and to grow. ~Cynthia Clack, SpiritUncaged.com

Being a part of IGNITE has really expanded me. I listen deeper. I express my artistic feelings with grace, with more confidence.....I really know what I want to teach now! ~Jeanie Anthony, SoulsVoice.com
__________
I started IGNITE with some trepidation – am I going to fit in? Will it be worth all the time and money I’m about to put into it? Am I going to come out of this with better teaching skills, and a better idea of who I am as a teacher? IGNITE hasn’t been an easy path, and I can’t say I have answers to all the questions I’ve been asking myself. However, it’s been invaluable to be able to face all these questions about who I am as an artist and teacher, surrounded by an incredibly supportive and talented group of women who are also doing soul-searching in various ways, as they also journey through IGNITE. With this program, I’ve learned a lot about myself that I may not have otherwise. I’ve also learned more about what it means to be an artist, teacher, student, and friend. Throughout all this, Connie has been there for me and for the group, making sure we have the tools to be successful as we journey forward. It has been an enriching experience overall, and one that I would recommend if you are serious about teaching and making a difference in both your life and in others ~ Louise St Germain

Here are the details...

Part One
Deepening Your Practice :: Excavating Devotion
In IGNITE we believe that a transformative teacher teaches who they are, NOT just what they know. In the first two months of IGNITE we dedicate our time and energy to deepening our own FEARLESS® Painting Practice, excavating what our own unique greatness and strengths are, studying the philosophy and energetics behind the FEARLESS® Painting Process, and gaining powerful clarification on how the creative process works.
What we will cover:
- Confirming our devotion in life and how it speaks powerfully through us as teachers.
- Creating awareness of the lessons, gifts, and teachings that are ours to share.
- Embracing our creative voice as a teacher through what makes us come alive most.
- Developing a strong foundation for our mission as teachers.
- Strengthening our trust in our innate wisdom while deepening our connection to our Creative Source.
- Receiving a clear understanding of the philosophy and concepts that form the core of the FEARLESS® Painting Process and how they can be applied to all genres of creative teaching.
- An emphasis on creating a solid personal FEARLESS® Painting Practice.

About Connie Hozvicka
I became an Art Teacher by accident. A friend of mine convinced me to join her in an Artist in Residence program in an elementary school over 20 years ago when I was a freshman in Art School. To my surprise I was really good at it--but even more, being in a classroom really sparked my creativity and I couldn't help but fall in love with sharing my passion. I am so grateful that I said yes to my friend's request! Since that day, teaching Art has become a great love of mine-- it compliments my own Art practice, inspires me spiritually, and allows me to be of great service. In my 20 years of teaching I have worked as an Art Teacher in private organizations such as the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Akron Art Museum, taught private Art classes to individuals of all ages and experiences, have taught Art to home schoolers, as well as worked five years as an Art teacher in the public school system in Arizona. Along with having a degree in both Art and Art History, I went back to college and received my Art Education Licensure as well. As an Art Teacher I have always believed that the Spirit and Art are one path. So my work as an Art teacher has always focused on intuition, empowerment, self reliance, and healing. In 2010 I quit my job as a public school Art teacher to pour my whole heart into teaching through Dirty Footprints Studio, which has been the best decision of my life. In IGNITE I share with you all that I have learned about teaching Art through my own formal training, my decades of experience, and also through my geeky way of deconstructing everything I do teaching wise--so I can always become a better teacher! I share it all with you in IGNITE! Not so that you can copy what I do--but rather that my experience can support your own unique voice and greatness and become a launching pad for your own transformative teaching practice. Thank you for your interest in IGNITE.
